Bentley family search

|

Hi! I'm trying to discover what happened to my great grandparents, Walter and Elizabeth Bentley. They emigrated around 1896 from Liverpool but I'm not sure if they sailed from Liverpool or somewhere else. I think they went to the Cape but I'm not sure. He's not the Walter Parriot or Parrott Bentley that keeps appearing when I search sites. Walter was born in Liverpool, England in 1844. His father was Thomas Bentley who was born in 1814 in Horsforth, Yorks. Elizabeth's maiden name was Broadbent. Some of their younger children went with them but I'm not sure who. My grandmother stayed behind as she was married by then.

The Initial Web Site Feedback topic is an example of how not to use a forum ;-) Many of the discussion topics would have been better off as topics in their own right, making it easier for others to find related discussion threads. But hey Lucas, its all we had when we started ;-)
