Our presenter has been researching his British and Scottish forebears since 1999. People who know him also know that he is like a terrier in his pursuit of the names Scott and McDonald.

Dennis surmises that his interest in and links to the British Empire stem from him having been born in the year of the Royal visit to South Africa – 1947.

Presenter: Dennis Pretorius

Our presenter is a Commercial Genealogical Researcher and especially helps adopted children to trace their biological parents.

He was instrumental in the establishment of the West Gauteng branch in February 2001. And he has played an important role in the management of the branch that grew from just eight members then to its current eighty-seven.

Besides genealogical research, Dennis has a keen interest in travel and politics. ?
